This policy applies to Snow Leopard Mail Tool, a Windows desktop application, and explains how it accesses, uses, stores, shares, retains and deletes information associated with Google OAuth and the Gmail API.
The application uses Google OAuth and requests the Gmail API gmail.send permission. This permission allows the application to send email through a Gmail account only after the user explicitly authorizes that account. The application does not request Gmail inbox-reading permission and does not use the Gmail API to read Gmail contacts.
Google authorization data is used only to authenticate the account selected by the user and to perform email-sending actions configured and initiated by the user. Google user data is not used for advertising, profiling or sale.
OAuth authorization credentials, including tokens needed to maintain an authorized session, may be stored locally on the user's Windows computer. Users should protect access to their computer and local application files. The application does not operate a remote database for storing Gmail inbox contents obtained from Google.
Snow Leopard Mail Tool does not sell Google user data. Google user data obtained through Google API authorization is not shared with third parties for advertising or marketing. Authorization credentials are used by the application to communicate with Google's APIs for functionality requested by the user.
Locally stored OAuth credentials may remain on the user's computer until removed by the user, revoked, expired or otherwise invalidated. The application does not retain Google user data in a separate remote service operated by Snow Leopard Mail Tool.
Users may revoke the application's access through Google Account security settings at any time and may remove locally stored authorization credentials from the application's local files. Once access is revoked or credentials are removed, those credentials can no longer be used for Gmail send functionality.
Snow Leopard Mail Tool's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
If the application's handling of Google user data materially changes, this policy will be updated accordingly.
